This article from New York Times Ask Well columnist, Karen Weintraub discusses the health benefits of getting enough sleep compared to getting less sleep to fit in exercise. Sleep experts say that you should not sacrifice sleep to fit in physical activity. Lack of sleep is bad for weight gain, heart disease and diabetes. It is better to find time to fit physical activity during the day and try to get eight hours of sleep each night.
